Welcome to our Market on the banks of the beautiful and historic Whanganui River.

The general information you will need to understand how our market runs needs to be read and accepted once you receive the password. Please also read the site booking procedures, cancellation policies and our stall fee structure.

The River Traders is run by a community trust, which ensures that any profit from the income received is used to assist community initiatives.

Our market is held every Saturday rain or shine, and is situated alongside the Waimarie Riverboat Centre on the riverfront 500 metres upstream on the town centre side of the City Bridge.

Stall bookings need to be made by Wednesday of each week as space is often fully allocated. New stall-holders need to make contact earlier than this as there is an application process to go through.

New applications are assessed against our criteria which includes compatibility with the existing product range, origin of product and site availability. We are unable to guarantee site availability to all applicants.

You will be advised if your application is approved.
